FAQ'S

What's different about our program?

Our program not only helps our Clients lose weight, but teaches them how to sustain their results for a lifetime. Each Client will receive their own Personal Health Coach for education, motivation, and accountability! Our coaching services go beyond weight-loss and stabilization, and continue into a period of weight maintenance

I avoid getting on the scale and weighing myself, will this program still help me lose weight?

Scale addiction and avoidance are real, but you can do this! Time to feel empowered and encouraged! Stepping on the scale can remind you of your weight loss goals and the ability to take action before significant weight is gained. Our coaches rely on quantitative data in order to best coach you to results. Additionally, our clinic uses the Inbody scale for weekly biometric data collection. We not only address total body weight, but BMI, body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass, and hydration levels. The results are coming and will continue to come so long as you follow the program!

Why are appointments medically supervised and what does that mean exactly?

Medical supervision means that a physician monitors your weight loss ensuring that it is safe. Our focus is to preserve muscle mass and optimize fat loss. Our clients can rest assured that our programs are safe for those with obesity related comorbidities such as: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, etc. Our medical supervisor is a local, currently practicing, Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician who is also certified in Obesity Medicine

What does having a personal health coach entail?

Having your own personal health coach entails weekly appointments with an expert in the field that will provide you with guidance, motivation, education, and accountability throughout your weight loss journey. Having a health coach means there is always someone on your side and in your corner available to help you overcome any obstacle and get you to your goal - once and for all.

Do I have to live in Bryan/College Station to do the program?

No you do not! Our program can be 100% virtual!

Can I still qualify to lose weight on one of your programs if I have a lot of health conditions?

It depends. Unfortunately, clients with high lactose intolerance, type 1 diabetes, and pregnant or nursing mothers are not candidates for any of our programs at this time. The following conditions do not affect participation in our weight loss program: depression, anxiety, hypertension, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, a history of bariatric surgery, thyroid conditions, gut issues, or certain heart conditions. For any conditions not listed, please feel free to reach out to our head health coach,
Desiree, at desiree@realwellnessmd.com or (979) 704-5400.

What if I only have 10-15lbs of weight to lose?

We would love to meet with you and set up a strategy session appointment to discuss your weight loss goals.

At the appointment, we will complete an In Body scale assessment and further discuss your biometric data (BMI, body fat, muscle mass) to ensure that you are a good candidate for the program!
